Maison du Salève

775 route de Mikerne

Come and find out about the ‘mountain of the Genevans’ - the viewpoint which looks out over Lake Geneva and the Mont Blanc range. The centre tells how Le Salève has become one of the most scientifically studied mountains in the world and was the birthplace of rock-climbing.

Located in a rural area at Présilly, the Maison du Salève offers visitors original activities including exhibitions, guided tours, workshops, conferences and nature trips. On departing from the Maison, walks for both inexperienced and avid walkers: the discovery route "In the footsteps of the Carthusian monks", the Santiago de Compostela path or the Convers path to reach the summit of Le Salève. The eco-shop of the Maison de Salève highlights the talent of local artisans, producers and writers.
