The villa Lumière town hall

Rue de la Source de Clermont

Former summer residence of Lyon's Lumière family, this sumptuous villa, built in the Renaissance-inspired French classical style, became Evian's town hall in 1927.

The Salon Doré, where civil marriages are now held, has managed to retain most of its original decor (marquetry flooring of precious woods, gilded consoles, an onyx fireplace and painted silk screens). All of the villa's Rococo-furnished rooms were adorned with decorative woodwork or natural-silk hangings from Lyon. On weekdays, the entrance hall and the Salon Doré are open to the public, during regular office hours.
