Thonon’s shows and festivals are held throughout the year to bring renewed energy to the town and enthral holidaymakers. There’s something for everyone whether you prefer traditional town events or modern ones.

Montjoux Festival:
Every July famous artists attend the Montjoux Festival! Come and spend three evenings enjoying a colourful and diverse programme! Here are a few artists that have attended past festivals: Johnny Clegg, Thomas Dutronc, Tryo, Buena Vista Social Club, Olivia Ruiz, Gaetan Roussel and many more.
Les Fondus du Macadam:
This is a key period of summer where Thonon locals, holidaymakers and artists of all kinds come together on the streets, squares and interesting places for shows. This quality street festival presents 30 companies and 150 performances!
Foire de Crête:
Named after the square it is held in, this unmissable annual event takes place on the first Thursday of September and lasts all week with attractions and a funfair. It started out as the meeting place for farmers trading their livestock and stocking up on winter provisions, clothes and other essentials. Here you will find garlic necklaces as originally sold at the fair.
Fête du Nautisme:
This national event has existed for 10 years and takes place in mid-May. The festival aims to give sailing activities a wider audience. Thonon’s organisation stands out and sets the benchmark for its scope and rich schedule.
