Thonon is the second largest town in Haute-Savoie and is a lively town with a population of 33,000 on the south bank of Lake Geneva and at the foot of the Alps and the Jura Mountains.
The capital of the Chablais region is ideally located on the banks of Lake Geneva (Western Europe's largest lake) just 10 minutes from Evian, 45 minutes from Geneva and Montreux and 30 minutes from Lausanne by boat.
