Chapels

This historic chapel in the hamlet of Tully is near the wash house and has interesting frescoes. It is also part of the circuit des chapelles et lavoirs (chapel and wash house trail).

The Holy House prebendal priest Reverend Henry Meynet (income awarded to certain ecclesiastical professions) had it built between 1626 and 1644 in the name of Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

It was already here at the end of the 13th century. It was damaged during the Bernese invasion in 1536 and rebuilt by the Order of Saint François de Sales.

Since the 90s this former Monastery of the Visitation chapel has been dedicated to modern art and welcomes well-known artists all year round.

First mentioned in 1299, it was wrecked by the Bernese in 1589 before being rebuilt in 1615 in the exact location of Saint François de Sales’ first miracle which was to resurrect a dead unbaptised child.
